Press ad for Teacher's

Teacher’s is advertising in serious national newspapers between now and the end of March as part of a £1.5 million support programme for the brand in 2009.

Brand owner Beam Global is taking ads in the Times, Telegraph and Guardian in the latest phase of the Create Your Space campaign for the blended Scotch brand.

The ad publicises an on-pack offer giving drinkers the chance to win one of 10 pots of £5,000 to create their “ultimate collection”.

There will also be 500 auction vouchers worth £200 each up for grabs.

Marketing manager Aileen Nichol said: “Create Your Space makes Teacher’s relevant and accessible to target consumers by appealing to men who desire ‘manspace’ in which they can escape and become an authority on their chosen subjects..

“By building an emotional connection with them, we are making their relationship with the brand more influential than price.”

Teacher’s is planning in-store activity in the near future.

English wine: a happy harvest for Christmas

All across England and Wales, vineyards are being harvested. Down winding country lanes come armies of welly-wearing conscripts wielding secateurs and buckets, ready to reap the rewards of our vines. Happily they come, their cheeks ruddy with pride. Half an hour later they’re crawling over muddy clods with lacerated hands, drenched in claggy juice and cold sweat, as if ploughing through an endurance race.
