Parker and Jago share stage in Rioja

24 April, 2009

Tesco drinks supremo Dan Jago will be sharing a platform with the world's best-known wine critic at a two-day international wine conference.

Robert Parker will be making his first visit to Spain for the event, WineFuture-Rioja 2009, which is being hosted by The Wine Academy of Spain in Logroño on Nov 12 and 13.

Organisers say industry leaders will assemble "to discuss the current challenges that the global wine industry is facing, providing solutions, ideas, strategies and leadership".

Other big names scheduled to appear include Jancis Robinson MW, Oz Clarke, Steven Spurrier, Robert Joseph and Constellation Brands Europe president Troy Christensen.

Parts of the conference will be streamed over the internet.
