Beer Exposed put on hold this year

10 April, 2009

Beer Exposed, the four-day consumer event held in London last September, will not be running again this year.

Des Mulcahy, of organising company Copper Tun, told OLN: "The format is changing so we won't be doing the September event, but a number of smaller initiatives. The brewing industry was hesitant to commit this year but the new features are equally as exciting ."

Mulcahy said he hoped the event would return in 2010 and this year there were plans for a smaller version of Beer Exposed at food festival Taste of London in June.

Last year's event

featured more than 100 exhibitors . Mulcahy

and business partner Matt Roclawski came up with the idea for the show after noticing an increasing interest in beer in UK supermarkets, and the boom in craft brewing in the US.
