PLB has picked up the agency for Fresita, the sparkling rosé wine and strawberry blend from Chile, left without a UK supplier the collapse of previous distributor Paragon Vintners.

PLB has picked up the agency for Fresita, the sparkling rosé wine and strawberry blend from Chile, left without a UK supplier after the collapse of previous distributor Paragon Vintners.

The product is aimed at the independent trade and is supplied in 20cl and 75cl bottles, with a £7.99 rrp for the bigger size.

PLB managing director Peter Darbyshire said: “There is nothing else quite like Fresita on the market.

“As a sparkling rosé, it already taps into two categories that are showing year-on-year growth.

“It is also an incredibly versatile cocktail ingredient which means it can capitalise on the booming cocktail culture.”

The main target market is women aged 18 to 45.

The base wine for Fresita is a blend of Chardoanny, Sauvignon Blanc and Moscatel. It then has a purée of fresh strawberries added in the bottle, accounting for around 3% of the total volume of the product.
