Old Moors Cider & Sloe (4% abv) will be launched this month and will be available in 8x56.8cl packs.
This newest flavour variety joins the rest of the Old Moors range of ciders with Elderflower, Blackberry, Peach, Pear and Apple.
James McIlwraith, chairman of Devon Cider, said: “Sloes, normally associated with gin, have a deliciously tannic, earthy taste and really complement the apple freshness of our Old Moors cider.
“They are also a fruit that grows prolifically in the south west and therefore fits well with our brand profile.”
The Devon Cider Company, based in Tiverton, has a turnover in excess of £25 million. McIlwraith said: “Though we are well known in the South West, our aim is to achieve national exposure over the next three years, and play a much more active role in developing the sector.”
He said its Old Moors and 3 Hammers cider brands will undergo a major investment programme later this year.
