02 February, 2010

Molson Coors UK has appointed Chris McDonough as its new marketing director.

He’ll join the company in June from his current position as marketing and R&D director for Muller UK.

McDonough has drinks industry experience as a former marketing controller at Barcadi-Martini and has worked for Mars.

David Preston, who is currently interim marketing director will be appointed to the new role of director of commercial innovation, reporting to McDonough.

Chief executive officer Mark Hunter said: “Filling one of the highest profile marketing roles in the UK was never going to be easy but after an extensive international search we knew we had found the right person.”

McDonough’s appointment coincides with Molson Coors signing a deal for Carling to be the official beer of Scottish rugby.
