NZW UK job in high demand

Applications have been pouring in for the post of UK director of New Zealand Winegrowers? – and the first round of interviews is scheduled to take place next week.

Current incumbent Warren Adamson said 10 candidates would go to a selection panel of UK and New Zealand-based interested parties, who would choose a shortlist for the first interviews.

Second interviews will be held when N?Z?W? top brass are in the UK for the

ondon International Wine Fair in May.

Adamson said: “We’ve had an amazing response and some very high calibre people applying.

I’m confident we’ll find someone to take it on to the next level.”?Adamson is leaving to become European sales manager for Craggy Range?.

Rosé tinted glasses

I was asked recently what I thought the biggest change had been in wine fashion in the past five years. My answer was unequivocal: sales of pink wines. From being a niche that expanded and contracted with the sunshine, rosé has subtly but steadily become a stalwart of many merchants’ ranges, with Provence firmly at the top and asked for by name.
