Chablis producer Louis Moreau has appointed Dedicated Wines as its off-trade agent in a bid to increase its UK distribution.

The producer joins Dedicated’s French wines portfolio which includes Rhône’s Cellier des Dauphins, southern French brand La Difference and Château David from Bordeaux.

Dedicated director Richard Evans described Louis Moreau as a perfect fit?. “Our strategy is born out of our belief that no other country can beat France for classic wines,” he said.

“The sales data shows high consumer demand for classic French wines at domaine level, providing sustainable profit for retailers and producers.”?The producer is run by sixth-?generation winemaker Louis Moreau and has 120ha of vineyards spread across five of the grands crus.

There will be Petit Chablis, Chablis, Chablis Premier Cru Vaulignot, and Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos, all under the name Domaine Jean de Bosmel.

Chablis Louis Moreau is being listed as an exclusive by Marks & Spencer at £9.99.

Happily they come, their cheeks ruddy with pride.
