Founded in 1811, Ackerman is based in Saumur and supplies the gamut of Loire wines from Muscadet to Pouilly Fumé, plus traditional-method sparkling wines, which the company pioneered in the region in the early 19th century.
François Martenot, established in the early 20th century, exclusively represents Château de Pommard, and produces wines from Beaujolais and Chablis.
“There remains a great appetite for the classic wines of France,”? said sales director for France? Nadine McCallion.
“We are delighted to add a full range of Burgundy and Loire wines to our portfolio, which already includes the Rhône, Bordeaux and southern France.”
