l Southern French wine producer Skalli has added a “Skalli signature” across its labels to highlight the family relationship between its brands. The company celebrates its 90th anniversary this year.

Tanners Wines in Shrewsbury has appointed Nick Hamer as its new finance director. He replaces Siân Griffiths, who leaves in February. Hamer joins from online toy retailer Tobar?.

Miguel Torres has been appointed executive president of the Torres family’s Chilean operation. Based in Curicó, he will be responsible for implementing organic viticulture and developing wines from Empedrado, a new wine?growing region south of Concepción. His previous position was marketing director for Bodegas Torres in Spain.

Navarra’s rosado exports to the UK rose by 30% in the year ending October 2009 – a surge attributed to increased promotional activities and new quality controls on production.

A tasting of the new vintage rosados ?will be held on February 23 in central London?.

The reasons Donald Trump should not be left in charge of a shopping trolley, let alone the keys to the White House, are plentiful and well-documented – from his use of the word “bigly” and lamentable business legacy to his dubious post-modern feminist principles, quite astonishing lack of political acumen and, most worrying of all, his bewildering hair.
