More single cask malts from Diageo

Diageo has launched the third batch of its single-cask collection of malt whiskies.

The line-up includes 366 bottles of Caol Ila 1997 with an rrp of £300 each and 204 bottles of Glen Ord from the same year at £250.

Glenkinchie 1992 and Royal Lochnagar 1994 (528 bottles each) will both sell for £250 each.

There are three whiskies with an rrp of £200: Dailuaine 1997, Inchgower 1993 and Mannochmore 1998.

The first two batches of Diageo’s single cask collection, called The Managers’ Choice, were released in September of last year and January of this.

The final batch will be released in May.

Classic Malts Selection spokesperson Nick Morgan said: “This series has provoked a great deal of interest and comment.

“Many serious buyers, including those who know and enjoy our malt whiskies in their more familiar bottlings, are fascinated by the unexpected insights and flavours that The Managers’ Choice offers.”
