In total customers raised £39,437.22 through the sales of Chilean wine, which Laithwaites has rounded up to a donation of £40,000.

Boss Tony Laithwaite said: ďI would like to thank all our customers who supported our producers, their families and the families of their employees by buying Chilean wines.

ďAll our Chilean producers have said how much it has meant to them to know they have such good friends on the other side of the world.Ē
