French Connection Champagne launch

Bottle Green celebrates 20 years in the trade this month by launching a Champagne in its French Connection range, which also hits a milestone this year, reaching its 10th anniversary.

French Connection Premier Cru Champagne will be available for tasting at the London Wine Fair in May.

Managing director Jon Eagle said: “Our parent group DCC is committed to the business of wine and will continue to invest to ensure the continued growth of both Bottle Green and its other wine companies.”?The Leeds-based importer claims to currently have three of its brands – French Connection, Andrew Peace and Via Vecchio – in the Nielsen Top 50 brand list.

English wine: a happy harvest for Christmas

All across England and Wales, vineyards are being harvested. Down winding country lanes come armies of welly-wearing conscripts wielding secateurs and buckets, ready to reap the rewards of our vines. Happily they come, their cheeks ruddy with pride. Half an hour later they’re crawling over muddy clods with lacerated hands, drenched in claggy juice and cold sweat, as if ploughing through an endurance race.
