Molson Coors opens NI office

Molson Coors has set up direct sales and marketing operations in Northern Ireland, creating up to 14 new jobs.

The Carling brewer said it was to open an office in Belfast in what it described as a “multi-million-pound investment”.

Niall McMullan, head of sales for Northern Ireland, said: “The growth of Coors Light and Carling has taken us to the stage where we feel a hands-on approach is required.”?He described Northern Ireland as “a very important market for us”.

The formation of the Belfast operation comes three months after Molson Coors opened a dedicated office in Dublin.

English wine: a happy harvest for Christmas

All across England and Wales, vineyards are being harvested. Down winding country lanes come armies of welly-wearing conscripts wielding secateurs and buckets, ready to reap the rewards of our vines. Happily they come, their cheeks ruddy with pride. Half an hour later they’re crawling over muddy clods with lacerated hands, drenched in claggy juice and cold sweat, as if ploughing through an endurance race.
