10 June, 2010

The Co-op has recalled four Californian wines because of a danger that customers could find small pieces of glass in them.

The affected products are all in 75cl bottles.

Three are own-labels: Co-op The Pink Chill Zinfandel Rosé with lot numbers L10120, L10126, L10127, L10128, L10130, L10131, L10132 and L10144; Co-op the Fab Cab Ruby Cabernet/Shiraz, lot numbers L10132 and L10133; and Co-op the Big Chill Colombard/Chardonnay, lot numbers L10119, L10120, L10134, L10137, and L10138.

The fourth wine is Silver Creek Sauvignon Blanc with the lot codes L10133 and L10134.

Product recall notices have been displayed in Co-op branches explaining how customers can obtain a refund.

The Food Standards Agency said no other Co-op products were affected.
