Molson Coors acts against duty fraud

Molson Coors

is urging its retail customers to help ?fight duty fraud.

The brewer said it was working closely with HMRC on its Tackling Alcohol Fraud strategy, and shared industry concerns about rising excise evasion on drinks, especially big-name wines and lagers.

Sales director John Heynen said: “We? have developed a communication channel to feed in any information surrounding suspected duty fraud?.

“We see this duty of care not just for ourselves, but for the legitimate wholesalers and retailers we work with.” ?The brewer is asking customers to forward any physical evidence of duty fraud, such as emails or flyers, ?directly to HMRC?.
