The push follows the success of last year’s Get Some Nuts campaign starring Mr T. The A-Team star will be back on TV screens this month in a five-week run of new ads.
The campaign will also be supported by print and online ads, in-store POS and PR activity that challenges consumers to “get more nuts”.
Throughout the push the Snickers’ brand name will be replaced with the strapline More Nuts on packs.
Mars trade relations manager Bep Sandhu said: “More than 75% of consumers recognised our Get Some Nuts campaign in 2009, which has established Snickers as the third most popular chocolate bar in the UK.
“Our campaign with Mr T has been all about encouraging the UK to Get More Nuts so it’s natural that we should develop this into an exciting brand extension and support it through the line in 2010.”
