l Cadbury is rolling out 45p price-marked packs for single bars of Crunchie, Double Decker, Twirl and Boost for a limited period.

Vimto has added a cherry flavour to its range. Available initially as a fizzy variant, Cherry Vimto will come in a 33cl can, 50cl and 2-litre bottle. A cordial range of 72.5cl and 1-litre bottles will be introduced in May.

Hancocks Cash & Carry will be offering a range of deals on February 8 in a One Day Special event. Offers include cases of Coke and Diet Coke 50cl cans for £9.49, and a case of Cadbury Creme Eggs for £12.49.

Premier Foods’ Lyons cake brand is launching a range of Teashop Classic Cakes packaged in clear-window-topped boxes. Variants include St Clements, Classic Choc Chip and Sultana & Cherry (rrp £1).

Rosé tinted glasses

I was asked recently what I thought the biggest change had been in wine fashion in the past five years. My answer was unequivocal: sales of pink wines. From being a niche that expanded and contracted with the sunshine, rosé has subtly but steadily become a stalwart of many merchants’ ranges, with Provence firmly at the top and asked for by name.
