Hercules adds a further string to its bow in Kent

25 June, 2010

Kent-based Hercules Wine Warehouse has opened its third branch in the county.

The new store in Herne Bay joins the first branch in Sandwich, which opened in 2005, and one in Faversham.

Directors Kevin Dodd and Andrew Lomax established the operation after spotting a gap in the market for a high-quality independent wine merchant in Kent. The chain now stocks some 300 wines.

Dodd said: “The success of our first two operations is due to our wide range of affordable wines, sourced from small to medium-sized producers not represented in multiple retailers.

“Our customers appreciate our friendly and personal service and advice.”
