It aimed to amass feedback from “opinion leaders” on the diversity of the Sud de France wine offering as a whole, rather than on individual wines. ?Head of communications for Sud de France Export, Laurent Panayoty, said tasters had “embraced the idea with enthusiasm”.
Panayoty added: “The online and live video format meant they could be more spontaneous and informal in their comments, which are visible on the dedicated Sud de France website, as well as on their own blogs and websites.”
“Many tasters commented on the quality and diversity of wine styles to be found in Languedoc-Roussillon. We will certainly consider repeating this exercise.”?The five wines tasted were selected to illustrate the diversity of the Sud de France offer, which comprises more than 30 appellations and over 60 Vins de Pays.
Sud de France is the umbrella brand of food and wine producers from Languedoc-Roussillon. The event coincided with its fourth birthday.
