The new-look packaging features an illustration of a well from the legend on which the drink is based.
In 1475, it is said the Earl of Atholl lured the rebel Iain Macdonald to a well filled with honey, oatmeal and whisky in order to capture him as he drank.
G&M joint managing director Michael Urquhart said: “Dunkeld Atholl Brose is a product with a fascinating history.
“It has a wide appeal and can be enjoyed all year round, either on its own or as the base for a cocktail.
“We’re hoping this rebrand will encourage younger consumers to discover this versatile drink.”?A signature cocktail has been created – the Highland Mojito involves shaking the liqueur with mint leaves, sugar syrup and lime, and topping with soda water.
Dunkeld Atholl Brose is bottled at 35% abv in 50cl bottles and has an rrp of £18.99.
