Hine releases Antique Cognac blend

Cognac producer Hine is releasing its Antique XO Premier Cru across all world markets.

The spirit is a blend of 40 Grand Champagne Cognacs, with an average age of 30 years. The oldest Cognac in the blend, which is married in cask for a year after blending, is a 1944.

The Cognac has an rrp of £120 and its UK supplier is Pol Roger.

The bottle comes in an embossed red and grey gift box, which slides open and doubles as a display unit.

Rosé tinted glasses

I was asked recently what I thought the biggest change had been in wine fashion in the past five years. My answer was unequivocal: sales of pink wines. From being a niche that expanded and contracted with the sunshine, rosé has subtly but steadily become a stalwart of many merchants’ ranges, with Provence firmly at the top and asked for by name.
