VnC cocktails are ready to serve here

20 August, 2010

Whyte & Mackay is bringing VnC Cocktails from New Zealand to the UK market for the first time.

The ready-to-serve cocktails are the brainchild of 42 Below vodka founder Shane McKillen, who believes they have the potential to add incremental sales in stores and provide consistency and speed of serve at home. VnC will be available in September and comes in four flavours: Pacific Mai Tai, Strawberry Daiquiri, Mojito and Margarita.

The 13.9% abv cocktails come in cylindrical 70cl PET cartons and contain 100% natural fruit juice, no artificial preservatives, additives or colours. The vodka used is described as premium New Zealand vodka.

Whyte & Mackay UK commercial director Shane Starkey said growth in the RTD market is expected to come from premixed cocktails and spirits, and is predicted to double in the next five years.

Starkey added: “Having VnC allows us to provide quality cocktails, quick service, good margins for the trade and a taste that is never compromised as they are all made with 100% fresh fruit.”
