Red completes Marlboro revamp

Marlboro has launched a new pack design for Marlboro Red, which will be rolled out from October.

The new-style king-size 10s and 20 packs will be introduced in two stages, first with a printed cellophane wrap emblazoned with “Redesigned. Same taste”, then moving to the new- look pack after two weeks. The rrp will remain the same at £6.31.

Zoe Smith, Marlboro marketing manager for UK and Ireland, said: “Introducing the contemporary packaging brings the iconic red and white design – which features an embossed pattern – bang up to date.” Following on from the White Menthol and Gold Original pack revamps earlier this year, the Marlboro Red pack redesign completes the rebranding of the signature Marlboro product portfolio.

Rosé tinted glasses

I was asked recently what I thought the biggest change had been in wine fashion in the past five years. My answer was unequivocal: sales of pink wines. From being a niche that expanded and contracted with the sunshine, rosé has subtly but steadily become a stalwart of many merchants’ ranges, with Provence firmly at the top and asked for by name.
