Trapiche wines switch to Fells in UK

31 August, 2010

John E Fells & Sons has been appointed by Trapiche as exclusive UK distributor for all trade sectors.

Fells has represented the Argentinean wine producer in the on-trade since last year and will assume responsibility for off-trade in September.

Steve Moody, Fells’ sales and marketing director, said: “We are thrilled that Trapiche has chosen Fells to handle their entire UK business. It underlines their confidence in the work we have done with them over the last 12 months and we look forward to developing their distribution still further. They are an exciting winery with a tremendous range of wines showcasing the best of Argentinean winemaking.”

Trapiche export director Juan Jose Canay said the new arrangement “will give us the opportunity to further strengthen the Trapiche portfolio in the UK market”.

The wines were previously represented in the UK by the now-defunct HBJ and a number of regional wholesalers.
