OLN to chair panel of experts at Boutique Wineries Tasting

03 September, 2010

Off Licence News is offering independent retailers expert advice on how to put their business on the map and keep customers coming back, at this year’s Boutique Wineries Tasting.

A panel of experts will share their views on creating a successful niche and promoting it with effective marketing.

Among them will be Jane Cuthbertson, owner of Preston’s Barrica Wines – who won Best Independent Wine Retailer at this year’s Drinks Retailing Awards, and will reveal the secrets of her success.

Bill Rolfe, the former Unwins marketing director who recently opened his first Market Square shop and runs 10 International, will talk about ways independents can triumph over larger rivals.

OLN’s sister magazine Harpers Wine & Spirit will hold a panel discussion about the best price point for boutique wines, and there will be representatives from Romania, Uruguay and Chile.

The tasting takes place on September 21 from 10.30am-5pm in the River Room, Millbank Tower, London. Visit boutique-wineries.co.uk.
