Chicken Jalfrezi and Lamb Vindaloo flavours will be available in 50g bags from mid-September with an rrp of 55p.
The flavours have been created for a promotion which offers consumers two main dishes for the price of one at 1,500 Indian restaurants.
The promotion runs until March next year and consumers only have to take a promotional voucher from a single McCoy’s pack to claim the deal.
Participating restaurants are listed on the McCoy’s website.
George Johnston, marketing director for bagged snacks, said: “We feel that it’s spot-on for our target consumer.
“The curry is one of Britain’s great traditions and the restaurants have needed little encouragement getting on board to take advantage of the extra sales the promotion will create.”?He added: “McCoy’s sales are up 16% across all channels [Nielsen, year to June 18] and are performing extremely strongly in convenience and impulse.
“This is an area we want to develop further, as the promotion is very much focused on growing the on-the-go occasion.”
