Fifth Family batch for Glenfarclas

03 September, 2010

Glenfarclas has released the fifth batch of whiskies under its Family Casks label.

The latest release includes cask-strength bottlings of whiskies produced in 1965, 1967, 1981, 1982, 1990, 1993 and 1994.

The aim of the portfolio is to keep as many as possible consecutive dated bottlings commercially available at any one time.

The first release was made in 2007 and Glenfarclas said the range had been popular as gifts for people marking particular birthdays or anniversaries.

The fifth release is being packaged in a new gift carton, which the company said was easier to open, as well as being lighter and recyclable.
