The move brings the product into line with the main Southern Comfort brand, which received a packaging redesign in May. The cans will be on shelf from this month with an rrp of £1.69.
Brand manager Jamie Butler said the packaging “brings our whole portfolio look and feel into line and our New Orleans heritage to life”.
The can features the New Orleans city emblem and illustrations reminiscent of the wrought-iron balconies found in the city’s French Quarter.
“We are immensely proud of?both our product and its one-of-a-kind birthplace, and wanted to convey this through the packaging as effectively as possible,” said Butler.
The company claims that Southern Comfort, Lemonade & Lime is number seven in the pre-mix category by value, based on Nielsen figures for the year to August 15.
