The company says the appointment will give director Jason Haynes the opportunity to target independent merchants with its recently expanded range of Burgundy, Rhône and US wines. “Gearoid coming on board frees me up to spend some time getting in touch with independent merchants,” he said. “We’re keen to get a much wider distribution.”?He is focusing on getting more listings for US wines, which he sees as a growth area. “It is slightly tied in with Burgundy as we have some Pinot Noir from Oregon and one of the Napa Cabernets that have virtually been made by the wife of one of our Burgundy producers,” he said.
To coincide with the changes, the company has produced a new list for independents.
