Oddbins refreshes fortified wine offer

15 October, 2010

Oddbins has revamped its fortified wine range, with eight new ports, two Madeiras and four new sherries hitting shelves this month.

New listings include a white port from family producer Churchill’s and two Tawny ports from Noval and Taylor’s.

Buyer Ana Sapungiu said she was focusing on smaller producers to provide a point of difference from the multiples.

“We do need certain brands that people recognise but also need to be different as we can’t compete on price,” she added.
