The Organic given permanent listing

15 October, 2010

Bruichladdich Distillery has made its organic Islay whisky a permanent member of its range.

The Organic, which is made with organically-grown Chalice barley from three Scottish farms, was originally launched as a limited edition in 2009.

The grain from each was malted, distilled and matured separately before being married and reduced to 46% abv with Islay spring water for bottling.

Bruichladdich claims to be the largest buyer of organic barley of any Scotch whisky distiller.

The whisky is available through Blavod Wines & Spirits and has an rrp of £34.
