Coke’s Christmas road trip

The fairy-lit trucks from the Christmas Coca-Cola ads will be touring the UK during November and December, stopping at retailers in major cities to sample CCE brands.

Coke will be back on TV for Christmas, with a new Snow Globe ad joining the existing Holidays Are Coming campaign.

Between November 10 and December 10, the brand is giving away an Xbox bundle every hour in a text and online competition. The promotion is running on 50cl and 2-litre bottles of Coke, Diet Coke and Coke Zero. Two-litre bottles featuring Father Christmas will appear and there will be price-marked packs of two bottles for £2.50 available.

An on-pack offer on Appletiser will give consumers the chance to claim a free bottle for every two purchased. The online-redeemable promotion will run on 2.2 million 75cl bottles until January. Appletiser will also be supported by multibuys, display units and loyalty card activity in multiples.

A poster campaign and themed in-store display activity will back the Schweppes mixers and lemonade range.

Trade communications manager Selena Taylor said: “Last year Coca-Cola and Schweppes created a £118 million opportunity for retailers over the Christmas season.

This year’s campaign, with increased investment and exciting new promotions, offers a real opportunity for retailers to increase shoppers’ basket spends with premium trusted brands.”
