Alcoholic twist from Fentimans

29 October, 2010

The extended ginger beer market has taken a further twist, with soft drinks manufacturer Fentimans launching an alcoholic version.

The move followed hot on the heels of Halewood International introducing the opposite – a non-alcoholic version of its Crabbie’s alcoholic ginger beer.

Fentimans’ Hollows brand is a 4% abv brew, in a 50cl bottle with an rrp of

£2.50. It has been made with Chinese root ginger fermented with botanical ingredients for 12-14 days, and pear juice is added to give it body.

Fentimans said the new drink was free from artificial flavourings, colours and preservatives.
