The pack will be brewed in Belgium and features an embossed star. Stella is also releasing Christmas packs of its 15x28.4cl and 18x28.4cl bottle and 8x44cl can packs this month.
The limited edition festive packs will be backed by a new ad campaign for the beer running throughout November and December, which is expected to be viewed at least once by 4.5 million 18 to 35-year-old men.
Brand owner AB Inbev said the brand was originally created as a Christmas beer, with Stella – which means star – referring to the Christmas star.
Marketing director James Watson said: “We are celebrating Stella Artois’s unique festive heritage and tapping into shoppers’ Christmas spirit by marking the fact that Stella Artois was first brewed in Leuven, Belgium, as a Christmas beer.
“This year’s festive campaign will generate huge sales momentum for Stella Artois, making it the brand of choice for consumers during the lead-up to Christmas, which is the year’s biggest sales period for beer.”
