Glass fears spark Tuborg recall

12 November, 2010

Carlsberg UK was forced to recall some of its 27.5cl bottles of Tuborg lager sold in multipacks, because of fears the beer could contain small pieces of glass.

The Food Standards Agency issued a product recall information notice on eight-packs with lot codes B0260N A, B0261N A, B0262N A, B0260N B, B0261N B and B0262N B.

The recall also affected 15-packs with the codes B0260N A, B0261N A, B0262N A, B0260N B, B0261N B, B0262N B.

Lot codes are printed on the label on the back of the bottle. Product recall notices have been on show in stores that sell the product, explaining why the product has been recalled and how customers can get a full refund.

Carlsberg UK placed ads in the national press and said no other Carlsberg UK products were affected
