Wemyss releases 8 Year Old range

12 November, 2010

Malt whisky blender Wemyss Malts has released a bottling of small-batch 8 Year Old blended whiskies.

There are three whiskies in the range – Spice King, Peat Chimney and Smooth Gentleman – all bottled at 40% abv and with an rrp of £24.99.

All have been produced with the help of whisky writer Charlie Maclean, and each contains up to 16 single malts in the blend.

Wemyss is a family operation based in Fife. The original Haig distillery was built on the family’s land in the 19th century and barley grown on the Wemyss estate is used by many leading distilleries.

The family also owns Darnley’s View gin and wine estates in Provence and Western Australia.
