She joins the company next month and will work alongside the existing winemaker for Sainsbury’s own-label wines, Clem Yates. She graduated with a degree in oenology from the University of Adelaide in 2002 and has worked in the industry ever since, making 10 vintages across three continents in that time.
Clements has been particularly interested in sparkling wine since working for Domaine Chandon in Australia, and has worked on a vintage at Taittinger in Champagne. She has also been a wine buyer and winemaker for Waverley TBS.
