Aked returns to Asda wine buying team

Former Spar wine trading manager Liz Aked is back in the buying team at Asda.

She will handle buying from the US and South Africa while working on the companyís recently announced UK bottling initiative.

Aked said: ďItís fantastic to have joined the young, dynamic and innovative team at Asda after 16 years at Spar.

Hofmeister may need more than the bear essentials to succeed

So, George The Bear is back. Itís hard for some of us oldies to fathom, but there are those under, say, 40 who canít actually remember Hofmeister and feel the cultural jolt supplied by the return of both the bear and the beer whose marketing campaigns it used to front.
