Pall Mall launched in a rolling version

07 January, 2011

British American Tobacco UK has launched a rolling tobacco version of its Pall Mall brand.

The company said the launch was in response to increased demand for value-for-money roll-your-own products from British smokers.

The Pall Mall launch coincides with a reduction in the rrp of packs of Samson rolling tobacco brand. The new rrps for Samson are £2.93 for 12.5g packs, £5.73 for 25g and £11.19 for 50g.

The new Pall Mall product has an rrp of £2.79 for a 12.5g price-marked pack, and £5.47 for the 25g pack.

The 12.5g pack includes a laminated pouch to maintain freshness.

Brand manager Henry Lewis said: “Our experience and proven track record in the rolling tobacco market means we can ensure smokers get the quality product they are looking for, as well as excellent value for money. Lowering the price of Samson will assist retailers to meet the needs of RYO consumers.”?Rolling tobacco sales increased 11% in 2010 and are now worth over £1 billion, British American Tobacco UK claims.
