Henry takes Wine Intelligence role

Former Wine Australia boss Paul Henry has become an associate director of research consultancy Wine Intelligence.

Henry left his job as general manager for market development at the Australian generic marketing body in December.

His main areas of focus for Wine Intelligence clients will be the Asia Pacific region and developing global brand strategies in wine.

Wine Intelligence chief executive Lulie Halstead said: “His experience and abilities are exactly what’s required to tackle some of the major strategic issues our clients are facing.”

Henry will be based in Australia and will continue to run his own Winehero marketing communications consultancy.

English wine: a happy harvest for Christmas

All across England and Wales, vineyards are being harvested. Down winding country lanes come armies of welly-wearing conscripts wielding secateurs and buckets, ready to reap the rewards of our vines. Happily they come, their cheeks ruddy with pride. Half an hour later they’re crawling over muddy clods with lacerated hands, drenched in claggy juice and cold sweat, as if ploughing through an endurance race.
