Halewood Champagne marks Royal Wedding

14 January, 2011

Halewood International is launching a limited-edition commemorative label Prince William Champagne to celebrate the forthcoming Royal Wedding.

The company has owned the Prince William Champagne brand for more than 20 years and has historically made it available to selected retail customers.

Managing director Andy Smallman said: ďAs owners of the trade mark for both Prince William and Royal Wedding, Halewood International felt that it was fitting to launch a limited-edition commemorative label.

ďOur fine wine division Chaliť Richards, which is distributing the product, has through its history held a number of royal warrants, so we thought this decision was particularly fitting and appropriate.Ē

The Champagne is expected to retail for around £25. Stock is being sold on a pre-order basis, with mid February being the cut-off for trade sales.

What makes wine special

Reaching the 50th instalment of Hemmingís Way is hardly the biggest milestone, but I donít need much of an excuse to pour myself a glass of champagne before getting dressed. Itís a better reason than I had for all 49 other instalments, anyway. Not that that stopped me.
