The opening of the new shop in north London’s Upper Holloway district comes eight years after the company first started trading at its Greenwich base.
The new store has a similar style to the original shop, centred on a long, hand-crafted tasting table, wines from obscure countries such as Morocco and Georgia, and an emphasis on smaller producers from larger producing regions and nations.
Founder Daniel Illsley said: “We want our shops to celebrate classic wines and showcase new talents, highlighting progress in forgotten regions and occasionally criticising laziness and vanity in famous appellations, but always extending wine
overs’ knowledge of place and culture.”?A tasting of Malbec to Marsanne will be held on January 26, with tickets priced £20.
A Nebbiolo & Her Sisters tasting follows on February 9, priced £27.50.
