A vodka made using water harvested from icebergs is being launched in

the UK.?London-based Signature Lifestyles has taken the UK and European rights to Iceberg, which is owned by the Newfoundland Liquor Corporation

in Canada.?The 40% abv product had a tentative presence at various British trade shows last year but is embarking on a full launch this month.?Off-trade distribution is being targeted at high-end stores and specialist online retailers where it will have an rrp

of £26.99.?Signature Lifestyles was set up by Ali Samli and Goran Svilar as a top-end interior design and table decoration consultancy, and Iceberg is its first move into luxury drinks. It also handles a range of beauty products.?Iceberg is being listed by wholesalers Coe Vintners and Furniss-Roe & Nicholls.

English wine: a happy harvest for Christmas

All across England and Wales, vineyards are being harvested. Down winding country lanes come armies of welly-wearing conscripts wielding secateurs and buckets, ready to reap the rewards of our vines. Happily they come, their cheeks ruddy with pride. Half an hour later they’re crawling over muddy clods with lacerated hands, drenched in claggy juice and cold sweat, as if ploughing through an endurance race.
