Spirits to double presence at LIWSF

12 January, 2007

The amount of space given to spirits producers at the London International Wine & Spirits Fair will double this year.

The annual event, over three days in May, will also see the Spirits Quarter move its location in the ExCel hall . "The Quarter will undergo a complete redesign with stands positioned around a central hub creating a vibrant atmosphere," a spokeswoman said.

In a move to strengthen its focus on the spirits category, the LIWSF has appointed Marc Charles spirits ambassador for the event. He is currently managing director of specialist consultancy Drinks Brands International, and spent six years as sales and trade marketing director for Pernod Ricard UK.

Show director James Murray said: "With a refreshed Spirits Quarter and Marc on board to work alongside us we are confident that the LIWSF will become one of the most effective exhibitions for the global spirits industry."
