The Sauvignon Blanc 2006 sports a
CarboNZero neck tag, awarded by Landcare Research, following the winery's efforts to offset the carbon dioxide it produces.
Grove Mill worked towards carbon neutral status in a three-stage programme; measuring emissions, working towards reducing them, and finally offsetting remaining carbon dioxide production through the regeneration of native forests.
The winery has planted trees in a local wildlife sanctuary in Cape Jackson, Marlborough offsetting 312 tonnes of carbon dioxide each year.
