Cadbury returns to the Flake girl

Cadbury Trebor Bassett has relaunched its Flake girl ads in the largest marketing campaign for the brand in four years.

Hollywood director, the TV and cinema segment continues the theme of a lone girl enjoying a "private

Flake moment". It will be supported by a £5 million marketing spend that includes a new website, nationwide sampling and ads in women's magazines. Head of customer relations Mike Tipping said: "We're delighted to announce that Cadbury Flake will once again be advertised using the iconic Flake girl."

The first Flake ad was launched in 1959, and the brand's advertising was recently voted the nation's favourite ad by ITV viewers, Tipping added.
