Drinks packed full of fruits are benefiting from a revival among the UK's health-conscious consumers as they struggle to keep up with their Christmas detoxes.

Natural Beverage Company's Fruit Hit range fulfils the growing consumer demand for health-boosting drinks. "Additionally, carrying the Fairtrade mark means the product is well placed to answer the demands of ethical consumers," says a Fruit Hit spokesman.

The company has added a new variant to its Fairtrade smoothie range - Black & Blue Berry - which contains blackberries, blackcurrants and blueberries. The range, which also includes Mango & Orange and Pineapple & Passion Fruit, retails at £1.59 for a 33cl bottle.

Rosé tinted glasses

I was asked recently what I thought the biggest change had been in wine fashion in the past five years. My answer was unequivocal: sales of pink wines. From being a niche that expanded and contracted with the sunshine, rosé has subtly but steadily become a stalwart of many merchants’ ranges, with Provence firmly at the top and asked for by name.
