Hula Hoops ring recipe changes

United Biscuits has cut saturated fat levels in its snacks brands.

Hula Hoops and Hula Hoops Ridges now have 55 per cent less saturated fat, and Skips and Discos will have their saturated fat cut by 50 per cent at the end of March.

McCoy's, McCoy's Specials and McCoy's Specials Tortillas will also see a 30 per cent reduction in saturated fat in March, and Frisps and Roysters will join them in June with a 50 per cent decrease.

All the changes will be communicated on the front of packs and TV ads highlighting Hula Hoop's healthier credentials will break at the end of March.

Marketing director Jon Eggleton said: "These changes are part of the latest step from UB in our focus on health and nutrition. We're committed to producing great tasting snacks while also reducing saturated fat and sodium content ."
