Brothers cider tunes to Glastonbury

Brothers Pear Cider has signed a four-year sponsorship deal to become the official cider of the Glastonbury Festival in June . It is also running an on-pack competition to win tickets to the event through Asda.

Four pairs of tickets are up for grabs in the promotion, which aims to drive traffic to Brothers Drinks' website www.brotherscider.co.uk.Co-founder Matthew Showering said: " Our competition will give festival-goers another opportunity to get hold of the tickets after they go on sale in April."

Brothers has listings in Asda, Tesco Extra, Booths, James Hall (North West Spar) and Booker.

Rosé tinted glasses

I was asked recently what I thought the biggest change had been in wine fashion in the past five years. My answer was unequivocal: sales of pink wines. From being a niche that expanded and contracted with the sunshine, rosé has subtly but steadily become a stalwart of many merchants’ ranges, with Provence firmly at the top and asked for by name.
